DIY Floral Initial

Hello January! The craft bug has officially taken hold as I’ve been lusting after a gallery wall for our hallway…

Introducing my first make for our gallery wall inspired by this fab idea from Pinterest:

What you’ll need:

  • Scissors
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Glue gun
  • Artificial flowers/flower heads
  • Cardboard

How To:

  • Mark out your initial on the cardboard and cut out

  • Cut the heads off so they’re as flat as possible ready for gluing and roughly order the flower heads on your work so you get an idea of where you want to place each piece (don’t worry about gaps at this stage, we’ll fill them in later!)

  • Start gluing them down
  • Cut some leaves/foliage from the flower heads & glue them down filling the gaps

  • Voila! You can either hang on the wall or pop on a shelf

What do you think? I’m really chuffed with it! I might do more for each of my Daughters’ room!

Love, Dannii
