This is going to be a short one. More of a diary entry than an actual blog post – but I’ll roll with it!
I really need to start organising Christmas Day. We have my Mum, her Husband and my brothers over for dinner usually and we have drinks and games in the evening.
However, this year is different. This year my Anxiety is so up and down that I feel nauseas most of the time, I’m not able to manage full meals so the stress of having people over unfortunately means we’ve had to cancel having family over this year and instead, we’ll go to them after we’ve had Christmas dinner. I’m absolutely gutted about this but I have to do what will make the day easier for me minimising any risk of panic attacks.
We’ll go to them in the evening instead and take games over to play. I know we’ll have a great time without the pressure of having to entertain!
I have no food ordered (I’m waiting for Tesco to bring out their Christmas delivery slots 🤞🏼😰) , I need to sort out an outfit for Christmas day and PJs for Christmas Eve. I still need to write my trusty list of essential foodie items and pray I get my hands on a turkey (why are they in SUCH short supply around Christmas when the stores KNOW they’ll be flying off the shelves?!)
I’m feeling unorganised and overwhelmed! I need to get my bum in gear and start making lists!
All gifts have been bought and wrapped (& most have been delivered), but I still need to grab a few little extra last minute ones – eeek!
How prepared are you with only 3 weeks to go? Please tell me I’m not THAT behind?! 😱
